Tuesday 24 April 2001 was to prove to be one of the most amazing days at Loch Ness.
The Swedish monster hunter Jan Sundberg had scheduled a press conference to unveil his plans to catch Nessie with a net.
But Kevin Carlyon, High Priest of the British White Witches had other plans. He travelled up from his home at Hastings in England, to cast a special spell at Loch Ness to save Nessie from capture.
Events started as Gary Campbell, President of the Official Loch Ness Monster Fan Club arrived in his full stretch limousine to meet Kevin Carlyon, High Priest of British White Witches.
Special thanks are due to Full Stretch Limousines of Inverness and George Edwards for use of his boat, "Nessie Hunter".
President Gary graciously escorted the High Priest to Temple Pier, from where he would perform a special magic ritual to protect Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster from capture. We also made sure that it was a perfect sunny day.
Kevin Carlyon briefed the press about his special magic spell.
In the background you can clearly see Jan Sundberg's "Nessie Trap" attached to his boat.
President Gary discussed police protection for Nessie with Inspector John Grierson, Northern Constabulary's (now Police Scotland) Animal Protection Officer.
But one mystery has not been solved: Why is the President laughing at that furry microphone? The public should be told.
